How CFFL Works

A 360-degree financial education program

Champions for Financial Legacy (CFFL) is modeled after the accredited curriculum at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Bridges to Wealth, a financial fluency curriculum uniquely designed to empower underserved communities.

CFFL is supported by The Shawn Carter Foundation in collaboration with the Coalition for Equity and Opportunity (CEO) at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. CFFL is generously supported by Toyota.

HBCUs adopt the program

We provide free access to CFFL’s Wharton-developed financial education curriculum.

  • All course materials, training, and the learning platform are provided at no additional cost to administrators, faculty and students
  • Faculty receive hands-on training and professional development

Students gain practical wealth-building skills

Students learn to navigate the stock market, invest safely, budget effectively, manage credit scores, and control debt.

  • Prioritizes engaging in dynamic learning experiences that equip students for success
  • Empowers students with the skills they need to thrive after graduation

Empowered scholars transform into community champions

Scholars pay it forward by translating their learning into engaging workshops and directly sharing valuable curriculum with local underserved communities.

In doing so, they become Champions of Financial Legacy, building wealth in their communities one workshop at a time.

Positive change accumulates

Through equitable access to financial education, CFFL aims to realize a bold vision: a future where financial fluency is a right, not a privilege.

Continued and growing partnerships between CFFL and committed organizations ensure the investment lasts for the long haul which:

  • Creates lasting tangible community impact
  • Closes the wealth gap
  • Uplifts communities and society as a whole

Be part of a better future.
